Israel will help Kyiv to open a rehabilitation center for the military from ATO area

A new medical complex for men who are coming back from the ATO area will be opened on the basis of V.C. Guts treatment and rehabilitation center.

The urgent necessity to open such rehabilitation center was the main issue of the meeting involving Mr. Klychko, the Head of the Kyiv State Administration, Mr. Belotserkovsky, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel in Ukraine, Mr. Vyshniakov, the Honorary Consul of the State of Israel in the Western Ukraine, Dr. Dorit Nitzan, the WHO Representative and Head of the WHO Office in Ukraine and Mr. Radutsky, the Deputy Mayor of Kiev State Administration of social affairs, co-owner of the Boris clinic which took place on 3rd of March 2015.

Remembering the past for the future’s sake

The 27th of January 2015 marked the 70’s anniversary of the prisoners’ liberation from the Auschwitz death camp. About two million people were killed there, most of them were Jews.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day

On 1st of November 2005, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted a resolution that claimed 27th of January as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. On that very day in 1945 the Soviet Army liberated the prisoners of the largest Nazi death camp “Auschwitz-Birkenau”.

Honorary Consul attended Israel with an official visit

Oleg Vyshniakov, the Chairman of the Jewish Foundation for Cultural Relations, the Honorary Consul of the State of Israel in Western Ukraine, came to Jerusalem with a three-day visit. On14th of December he conducted the meeting with Faina Kirschenbaum, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Yuli Edelstein, the Speaker of the Knesset, and Ze’ev Elkin, the Chairman of the parliamentary coalition. On 15th of December a working meeting was held with Yair Shamir, the Minister of Agriculture, and Avigdor Lieberman, the Minister of Foreign Affairs. At the end of his visit Oleg Vyshniakov also met Reuven Rivlin, the President of Israel.
